Concert Review #1 Due on Thursday, March 11

Concert Review #1 is due on Thursday, March 11.

There will be no class that day, but the review is due along with a program.  You need to include in your review a description of the first and last piece on the program.

I will provide additional information in this space soon.

Recording test

We will have a "Listening Test" on Tuesday, March 9.  I will play portions of the recordings that came with the CD's in the book from the chapters that cover Renaissance and Baroque.

More information later.

Baroque Project

Here is the list of topics and those assigned for the Baroque Wiki Project.

This is what I want:
  • You need to completely cover the information presented in the textbook associated with this topic in your own words - that is a starting point.
  • Assimilate data from several sources and rewrite in your own words.  Copying/Pasting from websites will receive a failing grade for the project.
  • Creating New Topics/Pages is encouraged and rewarded within the wiki.
  • Linking to Other Wiki pages (within our wiki) is encouraged and rewarded.
  • Creating a new page per any YouTube video is encouraged.  Discuss the recording that you find in your own words.
  • Provide additional information about any recording you find and include.
  • Find at least one additional scholarly topic/journal paper that involves your topic.  Look here for help.
  • I will give a STATUS grade of your work on the afternoon/evening of February 25 that will count for half of your grade.
  • Project must be complete on Tuesday, March 2.  We will review completed assignments and discuss the project on 3/2 and 3/4.
