Make sure you give me stable links and summaries of the scholarly articles or you won't get full credit for your discovery. If I can't get to the page you link to, it won't count.

Classwork deadlines and extra credit

This is what I remember about our discussion yesterday:

1. wiki deadline for all work is Thursday, midnight
2. all concert reports, including extra credit reports are due to me on Tuesday, midnight. only emailed work will be accepted - take photos or make scans of concert programs and send to me via email.
3. Extra credit will be considered this way:

• Attending Friday night's choir concert gets 1.5 credit. Make sure you receive and turn in a blue card as well as a four paragraph summary of the concert. (this can be in the body of the email, no need to attach a document). Extra credit if you cheer at the end of the concert.
  
• The movies "Amadeus" and "Immortal Beloved", if viewed and written about, get extra credit.
• I have not determined a value for the extra credit yet. It will likely go towards improving your score on the Listening Tests.
  

Final Exam Details

The final exam for Music Appreciation is Thursday, April 29 at 10:45 a.m.

The exam will cover p. 340 - 377. Make sure you read those pages.

I've already created the exam and my advise is to pay attention to these things:

• anything i've posted on the blog. know the details surrounding the works i have featured.
• pay attention to names of composers from different countries, even if i haven't featured them in lecture or blog posts.
• know the overview of serialism (12 tone row). Know something about the variations of a row.
• know details about the composer closely resembling my name.

Listening:

• We go back to make sure you know Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
• Know the first twenty-one tracks on CD 4.
• Be able to match the composer of the work with the name of the work.
